We pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves and had a great time catching up with them. Kirk noted that it is so rare to have friends that you can just pick back up with as if you had never been apart. It is so true and it is such a blessing.
Every thread of a tapestry is important to the whole piece. Up close, the tiny threads don't make a lot of sense, but when we step back, we see how all of those tiny fibers continue to make a detailed mural. God is at his loom weaving the threads of our lives into something amazing. This is our journey as God weaves HIS plan in our lives.

The Gift of Friendship
When we got back to Nashville on Wednesday night we met up with our friends John and Jill Gonas for dinner at The Acorn restaurant next to Centennial Park. Jill and I have been friends for over 18 years. We met when we both worked at J. C. Bradford & Co. Jill has been one of my best friends and a gift from God. John is a professor at Belmont University and was honored this year with Tennessee Professor of the Year. They have three boys, Samuel, Eli and John Michael.
