Missouri Southeast Missouri

Kirk and I flew into Nashville last Sunday night to spend Thanksgiving with my family. The first part of the week we drove over to southeast Missouri to spend a couple of days with Kirk's family. On Monday night we had dinner with his Mom and Dad and his brothers and their wives. It was the first time, in a long time, that we had all been together, just the immediate family.

Gary, Eddie and Kirk.
Glenda and Gary and us. Eddie's wife, Marsha, had left (she had to work early the next morning) when the picture taking was going and I am sad I don't have a picture of us with them.

On Tuesday, we headed over to the store Kirk's Mom and brother own called The Closeout Store. They buy overstocked inventory from places like Sears and Target and sell them at a discount. They were shooting a commerical that day and wanted us to be a part of the family holiday greeting at the end. So Kirk was able to relive his commercial days again.

We met up with his nephew Clay and his wife Mandy and new son Seth later that evening. Seth is absolutely adorable and Kirk is the proud Great Uncle! We then had dinner with about 20 of Kirk's relatives from both sides of the family. Kirk's Mom decided not to do a Thanksgiving dinner since most of us would be doing that later in the week. It was fun to catch up with family.

Seth was exhausted. He had only taken one nap that day and was out like a light.

Mandy, Seth and Clay.

Kirk and Seth. We honestly could not wake this little boy up!

We headed back over to Nashville on Wednesday morning. It is always hard to leave our parents after a visit. We appreciate and love them so much.

I love this picture of Kirk and his Mom and Dad.
