The women of All Souls headed up to the mountain house in Nederland the weekend of October 2-4 (Thursday - Saturday). If you keep up with my blog you know that we held our first women's retreat in February of this year. The women enjoyed it so much we planned this one in October, and we added an extra night for those who were able to get away. Next year we will schedule it on Friday - Sunday so more people can enjoy the 2 nights. There is something about this mountain house that immediately evokes quiet and relaxation.
Our topic or theme was from the Psalms. We put together a booklet for quiet/personal reflection time that took us through three Psalms. We also spent time in worship and singing some Psalms. We had small group times of discussion and prayer. It was a great time to get away with women in our community and form new relationships and deepen old ones.
