Women's Retreat

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit."
2 Corinthians 3:17-18

All Souls first Women's Retreat was held February 22-23. Eighteen women (YEAH!) loaded up in 4-wheel drive vehicles and headed to the house in Nederland (also mentioned in my December 12/31/07 post Getaway to Mountain House). Our theme was Becoming a Woman of Grace by Cynthia Heald.

Our main focus this weekend was for the women to deepen their relationship with God and with each other. We had thought provoking discussions centered around what it looks like to be a woman of grace. We are all at different stages of life and yet our struggles sounded very familiar. It was great to be able to encourage each other and to pray for each other. God is moving among the women of this church and I am excited to see what he will do. I was truly blessed watching these women share their lives and hearts with each other.

Happy Birthday Sandy!
